My Favorite Teriyaki Salmon Recipe!
Whenever I need a quick, flavourful, and healthy meal, teriyaki salmon is my go-to. The combination of sweet and savory teriyaki sauce with perfectly seared or baked salmon makes this dish irresistible. Plus, it’s super easy to make in under 30 minutes!
Let me show you how to make it at home.
Ingredients
For the Salmon
2 salmon fillets (~150g each)
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
For the Teriyaki Sauce
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup raw sugar
¼ cup mirin
¼ cup sake
1-2 cloves garlic, smashed
Method
1. Make the Teriyaki Sauce
• In a small saucepan over medium high heat, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, sake and garlic.
• Bring to a simmer and lower heat. Cook for 5-8 minutes until slightly sticky.
• Once cooled down, pour it into a glass jar and refrigerate for future use.
2. Cook the Salmon
• Place salmon on a baking sheet and air fry at 200°C for 8-10 minutes, flipping once midway.
3. Glaze & Serve
• Glaze the salmon with the teriyaki sauce and sprinkle with furikake. Best served with rice.
