Light, savoury, and just a little bit sweet—japchae is one of those dishes that always feels special, yet it’s surprisingly easy to make. With its springy glass noodles and colourful vegetables, this classic Korean stir-fry is as beautiful as it is delicious.
I really hate to watch Korean dramas at times. They make me so hungry at night and I always end up craving for Korean food! Terrible!
I have been cooking a lot of Korean food when I was in Shanghai – there is a Korean town in Shanghai called “Gubei” and there are at least 4 Korean grocers located on a single street!
Thanks to the Kdrama wave in Singapore, lots of Korean grocers are opening here and I am able to get hold of many different types of sauces.
Perhaps I should dedicate a video to all my different Korean sauces? Haha!
Jap Chae is one of the easiest Korean dish to cook, but it’s also quite tedious to make. Its ingredients are the same as bibimbap! So if you make this dish, you can make bibimbap too!
Here’s the video on how to make Japchae.
