Delicious and Tangy Sisig

The husband went on a 2 day work trip to the Philippines recently and came home complaining that he didn’t manage to eat his favourite local dish – Sisig!

So, I went online to research on some recipes and decided to surprise him for dinner! Love how technology enables us to do more these days!

There are many steps involved to making this dish, so please check out my video below to see how it’s been done!

To recap, below are the list of ingredients for my Sisig Recipe!

Ingredients (serves 4)

5 medium Red Onions, diced

6 cloves Garlic, diced

2 Green Chili, sliced thinly

2 Red Chili Padi, sliced thinly (add more if you like it spicy)

600g Pork Belly, boiled in low heat for 50 mins, fried and chopped to small bite sizes

2 heaping tbsp Mayonnaise

1 tbsp Soy Sauce

4 Calamansi Lime, juiced

2 Eggs

This dish is usually served on a hotplate, but if you do not have it, a claypot works as well! If you do not have a claypot, just crack the egg on the pan and let it cook before serving on a plate.

That’s all for now! Stay tuned for the next recipe!
